ENDOCANNABINOID-SYSTEM (ECS)
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors (CBR’s), and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system.
Healthy people form the body’s own cannabinoids, they are called Endocannabinoids. We form 2 types of Endocannabinoids, which are protein and signaling molecules. CB1 which mainly effects our nervous system and CB2 which mainly controls our immune system.
